In pursuit of women’s development and empowerment, a range of initiatives are being implemented across Bangladesh. As part of this movement, in Kumarkhali Upazila of Kushtia District, a significant milestone was achieved through the implementation of the Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) Project for the 2019–2020 cycle, supported by the Department of Women Affairs and executed by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha. A total of 2,785 women beneficiaries received trade-based income-generating skills training through this initiative.
